Two boys die in sleep as deluge hits homes
Damrong Pidech, chief of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, yesterday ordered the temporary closure of Doi Fa Hom Pok park, a popular tourist destination in Chiang Mai. Doi Fa Hom Pok National Park chief Sitthichai Saereesongsaeng said he sounded the flood warning siren but the deluge came too quickly. Three-year-old Veerapob Khamroon and his three-month-old brother Siripob were found dead after a flood struck Ban Piang Kok village in Chiang Mai's Fang district about 9pm on Friday.
